5 Fact Friday...

Fact # 1...I am the mother of newly minted driver in the family (my son just got his license)

Fact # 2...I am also the mother of a brand new college freshman (how is it possible?...it was just yesterday that she was in first grade).

Fact # 3...If I could be any animal I would choose to be a dolphin (one of these days I want to swim with the dolphins).

Fact # 4...I'll only get in the pool if it feels almost like bath water (Yes, I'm a whimp)

Fact # 5...I never cease to be amazed by the wonders of nature

It's always fun to travel to a new place...to experience different sights and sounds and food and people. It doesn't have to be another country or continent...sometimes just a city or state that you've never visited before is all it takes.

Nashville was a city that I had never been to before.  We took a quick trip to visit the downtown district over the weekend (after we dropped our daughter off to start her freshman year of college!).   Nashville = cowboy boots and cowboy hats...music and guitars...honkey tonks and colorful neon signs.

Doing...   I really don't mind doing the laundry...it's a reminder of a well lived life (I could do without matching the socks though). Eating...  one of my favorite things about summer are the fresh peaches from the local orchard. Reading...   I can't begin to express how much I love to read.  Books make me happy! Watching...  Our family is really enjoying the Olympics this year.  So inspiring.

Drinking...  I drink ice tea pretty much all day long.  I make it with a little bit of sugar.  This summer we've been adding a splash of lemonade to the ice tea.  So good.

Dear July...

July...you gave us days filled with sunshine and evenings filled with gorgeous sunsets....trips to the beach and the boardwalk...time spent with family and friends...beautiful flowers to enjoy...and moments to remember.  They were all much appreciated.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
