"I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see." ~John Burroughs
Doing... I really don't mind doing the laundry...it's a reminder of a well lived life (I could do without matching the socks though). Eating... one of my favorite things about summer are the fresh peaches from the local orchard. Reading... I can't begin to express how much I love to read. Books make me happy! Watching... Our family is really enjoying the Olympics this year. So inspiring. |
Dawn my mouth is watering I could just do with a iced tea now. The Olympics have been so wonderful this year and being a Brit I'm so proud we have put on a good one
ReplyDeleteOh I see you got the Twyla book!! It's so fabulous, isn't it ?? I'm ordering my own copy -- I just can't give it back to the library!!!
ReplyDeleteI, too, don't mind doing laundry. Socks are the worst. We "try" to use sock rings: http://www.sock-locks.com Definitely a time saver. And, the summer after our kids finished 6th grade, they were in charge of their own laundry. This was one of the best decisions i ever made. Helped me give up control and helped them with time-management and responsibility. If they didn't do laundry, they wore dirty clothes - and I never made a comment. Thanks for the photo of the Twyla book - will definitely check it out.
