Two word Tuesday...Tea time.

"Thank God for tea! What would the world do without tea! How did it exist? I am glad I was not born before tea." ~Sir Philip Sidney

"Tea and books...Mmmmmm, two of life's exquisite pleasures that together bring near-bliss." ~Christine Hanrahan

"If man has no tea in him, he is incapable of understanding truth and beauty."
~Japanese Proverb

"Tea is drunk to forget the din of the world." ~Tien Yihing

"Tea...is a religion of the art of life." ~Okakura

With apologies to my coffee drinking friends, there is nothing better than a cup of hot tea to start the morning. Green tea, decaf, Earl Grey, or just plain Lipton's...I love my tea. One of my favorite times of the day is sitting at the kitchen table in the morning, sipping my tea, reading the newspaper, listening to the birds chirping outside, thinking about nothing (and thinking about everything)...it's my version of meditation. Tea means many things to me...it is comfort and peace...it is happiness and hope...and it nurtures my soul. It can be fun time spent with friends or it can be time spent in blissful solitude. I read somewhere that tea is liquid wisdom...and I believe it!

I'm always on the lookout for new teas...any suggestions???

  2. Hi Dawn, I also enjoy a good early morning or late afternoon cup of tea, but nothing tops my mid-morning cup of cappuccino (I make it myself...saves lots of $$!)

  4. Ah, your feelings about tea match my feelings about coffee! Maybe it's just the comfort of the soothing warm liquid in our special cups we hold in our hands. I love iced tea though! I know, not the same!
Well, enjoy your cuppa tea my dear!
